The project supplies a robust building plan capable of containing different part projects with heterogeneous architecture, volume and schedules.
The point of departure was to use the site’s potential as an urban and infrastructural centre for creating a different kind of area in Ørestaden with character and identity expressing the inherent dynamics of the area.
A key concern was to honour the need for sunlight in residences and businesses, but at the same time to ensure that the plan blends naturally with the dense urban structure of Ørestad City – and affords maximum visibility to the areas planned for service trades and contact with the surrounding street spaces from the public-oriented functions on the ground floor.
