The 5 new tower blocks will be a part of the future residential area Sorø Lake Park, situated in the centre of the town of Sorø.
The project is located close to recreational areas and to Sorø Lake. The 5 tower blocks will be placed on the previous site of Sorø Chair Factory, an attractive location with excellent views and good daylight and within easy reach of the town centre. The 5 tower blocks will be placed on the plot in such a way that all 5 will enjoy both optimal daylight and a northwest view out to the recreational areas and Sorø Lake. On the eastern and southern sides there will be an access road and parking facilities plus a noise deflection wall against the main road.
The 5 tower blocks give the appearance of 5 sharp angled buildings. The hierarchy of their detail and materials will make a dynamic impact in the green parkland. The expression of the façades consists of vertical sections of yellow tiles. Spaces for windows have been carved out of the tiles in a free sequence. The balconies stand out as white structural elements in contrast to the heavier tiled sections. Simple areas of gravel and lawn will surround the tower blocks. Sorø Lake Park will offer attractive housing in the central part of Sorø.
